Kapoor & Sons , also known as Kapoor & Sons (Since 1921) , is an Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar , Hiroo Yash Johar, and Apoorva Mehta under the banners of Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios .
The film stars an ensemble cast , featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt in leading roles, while Rishi Kapoor, Ratna Pathak , Rajat Kapoor and Fawad Khan were cast in supporting roles. Kapoor & Sons tells the story of two estranged brothers who return to their dysfunctional family after their grandfather suffers a cardiac arrest.
